Colleton County deputies seeking vehicle in Monday drive-by shooting
COTTAGEVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Colleton County are investigating a Monday morning drive-by shooting that may be connected to other incidents.
Deputies responded to Central Station on Cottageville Highway just before noon for a report of a vehicle being shot at. While law enforcement said no people were hit, three vehicles and a storage building next to a business were damaged by gunfire.
The sheriff’s office is searching for an older model 2006-2012 light grey Chevrolet Impala with 5-star rims. It was seen driving north on Highway 17-A toward Summerville.
The victim and believed target in this shooting lives at the same address that was the target of a Sunday night drive-by shooting in the Walterboro area.
“It is believed all of these shootings are related and stem from the incident Saturday night on Bells Highway,” deputies said.
Two people were injured in that shooting, including an 18-year-old who suffered critical injuries.
