2 men wanted in Georgetown for Facebook Marketplace armed robbery

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are searching for two men who attempted to rob a person through a Facebook Marketplace listing.

The Georgetown Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating Dre’Quan (Jerky) Jeremiah Rhodes and Dy’Qatius Ty’Jah Armstrong.

Police say both men lured a person through a Facebook Market Place listing to an apartment complex off Gilbert Street last month, and “proceeded to commit an armed robbery against the victim with a handgun-style weapon.”

The victim attempted to defend himself, which police said caused the suspects to fire several rounds to take the victim’s life.

Rhodes and Armstrong are considered armed and dangerous. If you know where they are, you are asked to contact the Georgetown Police Department by calling 843-545-4300 (main number), 843-527-6764 (dispatch), or 843-545-4400 (tip line).
