NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The coroner’s office identified Wednesday a man who authorities say was intentionally struck by a vehicle last month.
Michael Cooper, 38, died from blunt force trauma on Dec. 4 while receiving treatment at Trident Medical Center, according to Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal.
Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to the Rivers Avenue and Hawthorne Drive intersection on the afternoon of November 27. Once there, they learned two people had been shot and that one of the victims, Cooper, was also run over by a truck.
Jonathan Reid-Boyd, 24, is charged with murder in connection to the incident, police said. Authorities have not identified a second person who was arrested in the incident.
