Dogs at Charleston Animal Society enjoy Thanksgiving dinners

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – This year’s Thanksgiving dinner went to the dogs!

Pups awaiting adoption at the Charleston Animal Society were surprised with a turkey dinner.

A group of children aged eight to 17 stopped by the shelter this week for a holiday-themed service day where they made Thanksgiving plates for the dogs.

The dinners were placed on frisbees and then frozen for the animals. Food items included plain green beans, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry, and a dog bone dipped in peanut butter for dessert.

Charleston Animal Society’s behavior team passed the dinners out on Thursday.
