Mount Pleasant shoplifting suspect in custody after search

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A man is in custody Wednesday afternoon after stealing from a Mount Pleasant home improvement store.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department warned of a heavy police presence near National Drive while they searched for the shoplifting suspect.

Multiple resources were used in their search, which included areas near the golf course.

Police told News 2 that the suspect accused of stealing from Lowes was taken into custody around 2:06 p.m.
