Coroner ID’s man killed by woman he shot on Sablewood Street

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has identified the male suspect who was killed by a woman he shot at on Sablewood Street, according to police reports.

Monte’l Porter-Robinson, 28, of Hollywood, died at the scene on Thursday from a gunshot wound, according to the coroner’s office.

As previously reported, officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to an address on Sablewood Street around 4 a.m. after reported sounds of gunshots.

Dispatchers also received a call from the victim saying someone shot at her, and she shot the suspect, the police report states.

The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
