Suspect arrested for Summerville mobile home park shooting
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — Police have arrested a 17-year-old man accused of shooting two individuals, leaving them seriously injured.
Rydell Lemar Holmes Jr. is charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful possession of a handgun.
Summerville officers responded to the Creekside Mobile Home Park on Bacon’s Bridge Road Wednesday for reports of gunshots.
When officers arrived around 9:30 p.m., they discovered the two victims were at the CVS Pharmacy on Dorchester Road and suffering from several gunshot wounds.
EMS took the victims to a local hospital for treatment. Summerville PD said the individuals are currently in stable condition.
Assisting officers located the crime scene at the mobile park, finding several spent shell casings.
Holmes Jr. was taken to the Dorchester County Detention Center and is awaiting a bond hearing.
