Police respond to apparent drowning on Pawleys Island

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – Emergency crews are responding to an apparent drowning on Pawleys Island.

Officials with the Pawleys Island Police Department said Thursday afternoon that officers were on the north end of the island and asked people to be careful of emergency vehicles on the beach.

They asked that people remove all drones from the area as a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter is responding.
