North Charleston detectives investigating afternoon bank robbery

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Detectives in North Charleston are investigating after an unknown suspect robbed a bank Friday afternoon.

Harve Jacobs, spokesperson for North Charleston PD, said an unknown male walked into the First Citizens Bank on Dorchester Road right after 4 p.m.

The suspect approached the bank teller, flashed a firearm, and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to police.

He then left with an unknown amount of money. No injuries were reported from the incident.

An investigation is ongoing, and detectives are searching for the suspect.
