Charleston County schools will have an eLearning day Friday
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The threat of severe weather has prompted an eLearning day for Charleston County students on Friday.
School and district buildings will also be closed, and employees will work remotely.
“Your child’s teacher or school will provide additional information about eLearning/remote learning for tomorrow,” the district said in a message to parents.
Kaleidoscope and all other extracurricular activities and afterschool programs scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2024, are canceled; however, Friday football games will continue.
“We know that any change in operations, especially those made in response to weather events, can be stressful for families to manage. Rest assured, we have provided ample notice so that schools can prepare students with necessary materials, meals, etc. It is our most sincere hope that the timing of this announcement allows you to make work, child care, etc., arrangements,” the district said.
Schools will return to normal operations on Monday.
