3 injured in weekend shooting on Victory Lane; police say residence appeared to be nightclub with full bar

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston police are investigating a weekend shooting that left three people injured.

The incident happened early Sunday morning off Victory Lane at a residence police say appeared to have been remodeled into a nightclub with a full bar.

Roughly 20-30 people were on the scene when law enforcement arrived, according to an incident report from NCPD. One gunshot victim was found lying on a couch, another in a rear bathroom, and a third was located on nearby Kimbrell Road. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

In their report, North Charleston officers said the location looked like a functioning for-profit club with a bar, DJ station, pool table, hookahs, and a price list for food and beverages on the wall.

Two witnesses provided information to the police. One said the suspect fired from across the street in a grassy area next to a yard, while another said the suspect was involved in a fight and went to their SUV after losing to retrieve a rifle and began firing toward the building.

Police have not made any arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
