Coroner IDs two killed in Savannah Highway crash

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified Wednesday two people who died in a single-vehicle crash earlier this week.

The crash happened along Savannah Highway around 2 a.m. Monday morning.

Miguel Angel Matias-Terraza, 19, and Frederico Moises Ramos-Martin, 30, both of North Charleston, died at the scene from blunt force trauma.

Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle was traveling north on Savannah Highway when it veered off the road, struck a tree, and overturned.

Both died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
