1 injured in Walterboro shooting; deputies searching for suspect

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Colleton County are investigating a Tuesday night shooting.

Deputies responded to Cleveland Street. They said a man with a gunshot wound was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The sheriff’s office asked that people avoid the area while they have K-9 units actively searching for possible suspects.

“If you live in the area of Cleveland Street, please review any surveillance cameras you may have between 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.,” the sheriff’s office asked.
