Motorcyclist killed in Wednesday night crash near Pineville

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A motorcyclist was killed during a Berkeley County crash.

Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened about three miles north of Pineville on Wednesday shortly before 8 p.m.

A 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle was heading east on Thomas Walters Road near Timberline Way when it went off the roadway and crashed.

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim when appropriate.
