Lottery tickets worth $40,000 sold in Charleston and IOP

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Two Mega Millions tickets worth $40,000 were sold in the Lowcountry.

Lottery officials say two tickets sold along the coast missed the jackpot by one number.

The tickets were purchased at King Street Station at 356 King St in Charleston and Circle K at 1206 Palm Blvd in Isle of Palms.

The winning ticket holders matched four white ball numbers and the gold Megaball number to win $10,000. Officials say because the players purchased the Megaplier option, their winnings quadrupled to $40,000.

The winner numbers were 5 – 20 – 26 – 49 – 51  Megaball: 24

With no winner in Tuesday night’s drawing, Friday’s jackpot has grown to $527 million.
