Police respond to I-26 crash with ‘serious’ injuries

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A crash on I-26 in downtown Charleston is causing delays Thursday morning.

Officials with the Charleston Police Department said the crash happened in the westbound lanes between the Crosstown and the Ravenel Bridge.

A passenger in one of the involved vehicles was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Two lanes are closed, and police say drivers should expect delays.
