1 dead, multiple injured in Charleston apartment shooting

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department is investigating a shooting in a downtown Charleston apartment complex that left one person dead and two people injured.

Officers say the shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Friday at the Bridgeview apartment complex. One victim died on the scene and two others were transported to a local hospital.

Officials say there is no known active threat to the community.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the name of the deceased.
