Traffic stop leads to narcotics, vehicle seizure in Moncks Corner

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Two individuals were arrested after deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with two children in the car which led to a residence search where the sheriff’s office seized drugs, guns, and vehicles.

Michael Antonio Carrasquillo, 37, and Arial Celeste Judkins, 21, were both arrested and charged with unlawful conduct towards a child (x2), trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime (x3).

Carrasquillo received an additional charge of failure to stop for blue lights.

Deputies were patrolling State Road near Black Tom Road on Monday to investigate suspicious activity. While in the area, a deputy noticed a black Dodge Durano with a window tint violation and attempted a traffic stop.

The Durango failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit, authorities believe a bag of meth was thrown from the passenger side window.

The car eventually stopped at the corner of State Road and Cooper Store Road, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement took the driver, Carrasquillo, and passenger, Judkins, into custody. BCSO said a two-year-old and an 8-month-old were found in the vehicle after the pair were arrested.

For further investigation, the sheriff’s office searched the residence the pair had left from. The following was seized from the residence:

  • 63.9 grams of fentanyl
  • 5.6 grams of cocaine
  • 1.3 grams of cocaine base
  • 5.3 grams of methamphetamine
  • .1 gram of heroin
  • 315 grams of marijuana
  • A PSA AR Pistol 300 blackout
  • 2 Glock 27’s
  • A Canik 9mm
  • $16,255 in cash
  • A 2013 Dodge Durango
  • A 2013 Chevrolet Impala
  • A 2014 Audi
  • A 2016 Dodge Charger
  • A 2016 Cadillac
