1 dead after truck overturns on US Hwy 52

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after an early morning crash kills one person on Hwy 52.

Troopers say a single-vehicle collision happened around 1:25 a.m. on Saturday on US Hwy 52 near US 17 Alt.

A 2018 Toyota pickup was traveling west on Hwy 52 when they ran off the road, struck a curb, and overturned.

Officials say the driver was the sole occupant and died at the scene.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Mr. Wade Wyndham Jr, 25, of Moncks Corner.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
