Minor arrested for King Street assault, police say

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston Police have arrested a suspect accused of attacking a victim on King Street last Sunday.

Around 1:30 a.m., the victim was repeatedly punched in the face while walking down the street. Sgt. Chris Stinson said the primary suspect is a 17-year-old in custody at the Charleston County Detention Center.

The minor was charged with assault and battery in the second degree. Police are still searching for the other suspects pictured in surveillance footage.
