Man wanted in Lake City arrested in Awendaw, deputies say

AWENDAW, S.C. (WCBD) – A man wanted out of Florence County was arrested Thursday in Awendaw.

Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested 19-year-old Timetrius Brown, of Lake City, after his vehicle was flagged in a database while they were patrolling the area of North Highway 17 and Doar Road.

“Based on the charges associated with the vehicle, a felony stop was conducted where the driver was called out from the vehicle,” the sheriff’s office said.

Officials said Brown was a fugitive wanted by the Lake City Police Department, which is located in Florence County.

Brown was taken to the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center where he is on hold through the Lake City Police Department for two counts of attempted murder, one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and one count of discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
