Charleston County deputies searching for suspect in Ladson area

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County deputies are searching for a suspect after responding to a ‘shots fired’ call in Ladson.

Deputies responded to a location on Von Oshen Road and Highway 78 around 12 p.m. for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, a suspect ran into a wooded area.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said no one was injured in relation to the shooting.

Deputies are actively searching for the suspect. They are encouraging people to avoid the area.

“Those who live near Von Oshen and Highway 78 are also encouraged to stay inside their homes,” the agency said. “This individual is considered armed and dangerous.”
