Several injuries in ‘serious’ traffic collision, law enforcement says

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — First responders are on the scene of a ‘serious’ traffic collision in Dorchester County on Monday afternoon.

Authorities tell News 2 that the incident site is on US 17A at Clubhouse Road. Two helicopters have been requested with six to eight injured individuals, according to law enforcement.

Several of those injuries are reportedly severe.  The South Carolina Highway Patrol is the lead investigating agency.

Dorchester County Government officials say the roadway near the multi-vehicle collision in Ridgeville is closed.
