Crews respond to Ashley River Road house fire
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A home on Ashley River Road was damaged in an overnight fire.
Crews with St. Andrews and City of Charleston fire departments were dispatched at a structure fire around 1:30 a.m.
The front porch of the home was on fire, with flames extending to the second floor. It was extinguished within 20 minutes, officials said.
One person who was at home escaped without injury. No firefighters were injured.
St. Andrews Chief Fire Marshal was dispatched to the scene to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. The cause is under investigation.
