Charleston PD targeting impaired driving this weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police in Charleston will be out in ‘full force’ this weekend as part of a campaign against impaired driving in certain areas.

Motorists in West Ashley and downtown Charleston can expect to see extra patrols from CPD’s traffic division on the roadways.

Peak patrol hours are between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. Saturday night for targeting impaired and aggressive driving.

“Our goal is to ensure the safety of all our residents and visitors,” Charleston PD said.
