Truck pulling mobile home catches fire on Charleston Highway
WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCBD) – A truck carrying a mobile home caught fire Thursday afternoon near Walterboro, officials said.
Colleton County Fire Rescue said the cab of a mobile home moving truck was destroyed after catching fire on Charleston Highway near Rodeo Drive shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Heat from the fire caused some of the single-wide mobile home’s vinyl siding to melt; however, officials said the mobile home did not appear to have suffered any additional damage.
“Firefighters used thermal imaging equipment to check the interior of the mobile home,” said fire rescue officials.
The driver of that truck was not injured.
