Shots fired into Britton Avenue home late Monday; no injuries reported

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Georgetown County are investigating after shots were fired into a home in the Oatland community.

Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) were called to an address on Britton Avenue around 10:00 p.m. Monday after residents heard two shots.

Officials said one of the bullets appeared to have struck a house, traveled through the wall, and into a bedroom door. No injuries were reported.

No one was seen walking or driving by the house at the time the shots were heard, officials said.

An investigation is ongoing.
