Water main break causing traffic issues on Isle of Palms

ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – Police on the Isle of Palms say a water main break has caused traffic disruption Thursday evening. 

The break occurred near Carolina Boulevard and 10th Avenue. The cause of the break was not released. 

Police say 10th Ave between Palm Boulevard and Ocean Boulevard is shut down. Palm Boulevard near 10th Avenue is down to one lane, Isle of Palms Police reported. 

City water department employees are on the scene assisting with the incident. Police did not give a timeline for when the roads would be back to normal.
