Gates reopen at SC Ports terminals after delays

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Operations are resuming Tuesday at South Carolina Ports Authority locations following nearly two days of delays.

In an update Tuesday afternoon, SC Ports officials said gate and yard operations were online and the gates were open. Cargo pickup and drop-offs were also being accepted at all marine terminals and Inland Port Greer.

Gates will remain open until 7:00 p.m. at both the Wando and North Charleston terminals to support carriers and cargo owners.

“We appreciate the support of our maritime community and the patience of partners as we work through the restart of operations,” officials said.

The many delays followed a software issue that impacted a server.
