CCPL opens newly renovated McClellanville Library
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) will celebrate the opening of the renovated McClellanville Library with a ribbon cutting on Friday.
CCPL says the McClellanville Library closed in December 2023 to undergo renovations as part of a $108.5 million referendum-funded project. The updates include new paint, carpet, and furniture.
In 2014, Charleston County voters approved a $108.5 million referendum to build five new libraries and renovate all existing branches.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 222 Baker St. starting at 10 a.m. Speakers from the library, Charleston County Government, and elected officials will speak to the public.
