SPD: Man killed at Villas of Summerville

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – The Summerville Police Department is investigating after a man was found shot inside a vehicle at Villas of Summerville.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Boone Hill Rd around 9:45 p.m. on Friday in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a victim mortally wounded from gunfire inside of a parked vehicle, authorities say.

Dorchester EMS pronounced the male deceased, and officers determined the incident a homicide.

The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the victim once they notify their next of kin.
