Experience Greek culture at the Charleston Greek Festival

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The 53rd Annual Charleston Greek Festival kicks off this Friday at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity.

The event will last throughout the weekend and attendees can enjoy Greek food, wine and live music.

“The oldest festival in the Charleston area, dating back to 1970, The Charleston Greek Festival is the 3rd largest festival in the Lowcountry with 35,000+ attendees over one weekend each year,” says the Charleston Greek Festival website.

Charleston Greek Festival hours:

  • Friday, May 10 – 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 11 – 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 12 – 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

General admission is $5, seniors and students pay $3. Children 12 and under and military are free.

Officials say no dogs are permitted unless they are service dogs.

The event will provide free parking and shuttle services at the Citadel parking lots on Fishburne Street and Haygood Avenue.
