Troopers investigating fatal hit-and-run in Williamsburg County
WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is searching for a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run on Wednesday.
A vehicle was traveling north on U.S. Highway 52 near Brockington Road in Williamsburg County when it struck a pedestrian, highway patrol said. The pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the collision.
The collision occurred sometime between 12 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.
Troopers believe the vehicle that struck the pedestrian was a Volvo XC-90 sport utility vehicle from 2003-2006. The color of the car is unknown.
According to authorities, the vehicle would have sustained damage to the passenger side headlamp assembly and passenger side view mirror.
