Charleston weather today: Warm with rain and storms likely inland; heat returns later in the week
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A partly sunny and warm day will give way to some showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon and into the evening.
Expect highs in the low to mid-80s on Monday, according to Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Josh Marthers, who added that rain and storms will approach from the northwest late in the day.
“The greatest risk for rain will be inland,” he said.

Drier weather is on tap or Tuesday; however, temperatures will rise with most of the area approaching 90 degrees.
“Mostly sunny Wednesday and Thursday with highs soaring into the low to mid-90s before rain chances return late Thursday and Friday,” Marthers said.
Wednesday’s record high temperature of 93 degrees and Thursday’s record of 95 degrees will be in jeopardy.
