Easter weekend festivities in the Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Lowcountry always has weekend events planned and Easter Weekend is no different with a full itinerary for anyone to enjoy.
Easter Sunrise Services
Several churches will hold sunrise services beginning as early as 6:15 a.m. For a local list, click below.
Charleston Bluegrass Festival
Givhans Ferry State Park, Ridgeville, Mar. 29 – Mar. 30 // Tickets
Top bluegrass musicians will perform at this two-day festival, including Jon Stickley Trio, Tray Wellington Band, Fireside Collective, Into the Fog, and more. In addition, the festival will have fully stocked service bars with lots of local food trucks and craft vendors.
Charleston Spring Wine Festival
Johnson Hagood Stadium, Mar. 30, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. // Tickets
Tickets include entry, sample offers of over 50+ wines, mimosas, and beer, live music and DJ, and a souvenir acrylic glass. This event is for people 21+ and no kids, babies, or pets.
Easter Eggstravaganza
Charleston Place, Mar. 30, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. // Menus, more
There will be live bunnies and chicks, plus a visit from the Easter Bunny and more kid-friendly activities. Palmetto Café will also offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
King Street 10K Adult Easter Egg Hunt
King Street, Mar. 30, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.// Tickets
Check-in is at Uptown Social from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Organizers say hundreds of eggs are hidden at each participating bar and along King and Calhoun Streets. There will also be drink specials and hundreds of prizes given away.
