Deputies investigate fatal shooting in Williamsburg Co.

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in the Hemingway area of Williamsburg County on Friday.

Deputies say upon arrival at the 1800 block of Cowhead Rd they found three victims who sustained gunshot wounds.

WCSO says the victims were at a family gathering when they were shot. The suspect left the scene before deputies arrived.

One victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene and the two others were transported to the hospital.

Officials say the motive of the incident is unknown at this time.
