3 dead after double murder-suicide in Goose Creek

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) – The Goose Creek Police Department (GCPD) is investigating a double murder-suicide that left three dead Saturday night.

Two adults and one juvenile were found deceased with gunshot wounds in a residence located on Water Oak Drive.

GCPD received a call around 9:43 p.m. of a male suspect with a gun at the residence located on Water Oak Drive. Dispatchers were also notified by a third-party caller that the suspect was intoxicated and holding hostages at gunpoint.

Officials say when officers arrived on the scene they surrounded the house and hostage negotiators were called. Negotiators attempted to make contact but were unsuccessful.

Goose Creek Police SWAT made entry into the residence and found the two adults and one juvenile deceased.

According to GCPD, after the preliminary investigation, the incident is believed to be a domestic-related double murder-suicide. This is an active investigation by the GCPD Department Criminal Investigation Unit.

Officials say the names of the victims and the suspect are being withheld, pending notifications of the families.
