Charleston Museum to host Valentine’s Day activities
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Museum will be hosting an array of events to celebrate Valentine’s Day that includes fun for all ages.
All events listed will take place at The Charleston Museum, located at 360 Meeting Street and require registration in advance.
Valentine’s Day Candle Making Workshop
Learn to make a special Valentine’s Day candle from local artist, Daisy McClellan. The Charleston Museum says participants will learn how to create candles from beginning to end. Candles will be in Valentine-themed glasses, teacups and tins from McClellan’s collection. The candle workshop will be on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. To register, click here.
Valentine’s Day Family Fun Event
Visit the Education Classroom to make Valentine’s for loved ones. The Charleston Museum says participants can craft tissue paper flowers, write poems and make flamingoes out of hearts. This event is Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1 – 3 p.m. and the museum says this event is suitable for all ages. To register, click here.
Galentine’s Day Floral Bouquet Workshop
Brings the Gals for a flower bouquet workshop led by local floral designer Pia Geraghty. “Participants will learn how to express emotion through floral design and learn about the language of love through botanicals as used in the Victorian era,” according to the press release. Guests will also have the option to choose between a large selection of florals. The floral bouquet workshop will be on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 6 – 8 p.m. To register, click here.
