SC State University on lockdown Tuesday afternoon

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCBD) – South Carolina State University is on lockdown Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the university told News 2 the campus went into lockdown at 11:30 a.m.

Details were not provided.

NBC Affiliate WIS-TV reported that a text message sent to the campus community told people to “shelter in place as police investigate.”
