Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop eyeing spring opening in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Popular ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s announced Thursday plans to open a scoop shop in Mount Pleasant.

The shop will open this spring at 1440 Ben Sawyer Boulevard, Suite 100 in Oyster Park.

It will be the second Charleston-area location for the independently owned and operated franchise. The community will find the other location at Freshfields Village on Kiawah Island.

“It’s an honor to continue serving our community through the joyous experience of Ben & Jerry’s,” said franchisee, Andrew Lee. “We look forward to creating memorable moments for both locals and visitors alike.”

Lee said in his announcement that the shop aims to bring people close with every “delectable spoonful of our renowned ice cream.”

An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
