Crews respond to Friday morning fire on Crosby Avenue
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Crews responded to a structure fire on Crosby Avenue in North Charleston early Friday morning.
The cause of the fire is unclear; however, images from the scene show a home, which is believed to have been abandoned, was destroyed by the morning flames.
Roads in the area of Crosby and Cosgrove Avenues were closed for some time while firefighters responded to the scene.
A spokesman for Dominion Energy told News 2 that the fire damaged one of the company’s natural gas lines. The line was fixed at around 7:00 a.m. and crews remained on-site making final repairs.
