North Charleston PD investigating deadly stabbing

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department is investigating a deadly stabbing that happened Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched to Cherokee Methodist Church off Cosgrove Avenue around 7:15 a.m. where a stabbing just occurred.

According to a report, officers met with someone who said the victim walked up yelling to call the police because he had been stabbed.

While speaking with officers, the victim described a man who allegedly stabbed him in the back. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Police say they are now investigating the stabbing as a homicide.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should contact the North Charleston Police Department.
