Crews working to restore 3,500 power outages on Folly Beach and parts of James Island

FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCBD) – Dominion Energy is reporting thousands of customers are waking up to no power Thursday morning.

According to Dominion Energy, more than 3,000 power outages are reported in the area. There are more than 770,00 electric customers served in the area by Dominion Energy.

Officials initially reported that the power restoration time was estimated to be 5:30 a.m. Just before 8:00 a.m., crews are still reportedly working to restore power in the area with no time estimated on when the power will be recovered.
